Healience Seonmaeul is located in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do. It is the first “well-aging and healing resort” in Korea, known famously for the involvement of Dr. Lee Si-hyeong, psychiatrist and neuroscientist, in the foundation of the resort. As it is nestled in the middle of Jongjasan Mountain, a beautiful natural landscape unfolds everywhere you look. You can experience complete relaxation surrounded by nature. The resort offers 92 guest rooms in three different types: Forest Rooms, Garden Rooms, and Red Clay Rooms. There are also pet-friendly guest rooms where guests can stay with their pet dogs. There is also a pet-friendly restaurant on the premises. The resort is also equipped with a range of convenient facilities that guests can use while they heal their body and soul. The facilities include a garden music hall & cafe where guests can enjoy a cup of tea, a restaurant that offers eco-friendly and healthy dishes, a spa equipped with sparkling/hot/cold water bath, a red clay sauna, a gallery, a study, and a forest yurt and a cave for yoga and meditation. There are also a daycare for children, and a rest area for pet dogs. The resort also has five trekking courses where guests can meditate while walking on forest trails. Healience Seonmaeul offers various healing programs designed to help guests gain various habits to age well such as dietary habits, exercise habits, mind-set habits, and life rhythm habits. It is one of the 51 wellness sites designated by the Korean Tourism Organization, and one of the 10 best tourist courses in Korea for healing designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
