Manjukje House is the oldest hanok in Museom Village in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. As the head house of Park Su, the founder of Museom Village, it has a history of longer than 360 years. Park came to Museom Village with clean mountains and waters in 1666, after he had given up to be hired for the government after the Manchu War in 1636. The house is antique with the traces of 13 generations of Bannam Park clan who lived in it. With a yard at the heart, the house is composed with the C-shaped main building and the l-shaped detached building. It has a total of four guest rooms, including Seomgye Chodang, Sarangchae, Anchae and Chaekbang. Every room is good for two persons to stay. Among them, Seomgye Chodang is located at the best location. From its veranda, you can see the lovely scenery with a log bridge in Museom Village, Naeseongcheon Stream, and the sandy beach that captures your sight. With the window wide open, the breeze and the sound of nature put you to restful sleep, and the sound of the raindrop from the eaves is sweet to your ears.
